Analytical Team Manager at Climate Action Reserve

As an Analytical Team Manager at the Reserve, Alex’s primary responsibilities include supporting the development of new greenhouse gas offset protocols, updating existing protocols, and supporting the review of project reporting documentation for emissions reductions and removals. He is supporting the reserve across multiple sectors (forestry/waste / etc).

Before joining the Reserve, Alex worked for Clarkson University’s Institute for a Sustainable Environment as Clarkson’s Assistant Director of Sustainability. In that role, Alex worked on projects to improve sustainability metrics across the institution’s operations and academics. He also worked for other nonprofits such as the University of Hidalgo in Pachuca, MX, Engage Now Africa in Ethiopia, and the Youth Advocate Program. Alex enjoys working outdoors and in his younger years spent several seasons planting trees for a landscaper in Northern New York and working for a stone mason in Cooperstown, NY.
