Carina Barnett-Loro is an experienced leader in climate advocacy and environmental policy. Currently serving as Co Director and Interim Executive Director at the Climate Advocacy Lab since January 2018, Carina has previously held roles as Deputy Director and Senior Program Manager. Prior to this, Carina worked at the Skoll Global Threats Fund as Outreach Coordinator and at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where strategic outreach focused on climate impacts in various states. Carina's early career included serving as North Carolina Conservation Program Coordinator for the Sierra Club and a Field Organizer for Green Corps. Carina holds an AB in Environmental Sciences and Policy and Latin American Studies from Duke University, with a semester abroad in Ecuador focused on Comparative Ecology and Conservation.
