Kailash K.

Director of Research at Climate Alpha

Kailash K. began their work experience in 2010 as an intern at the Observer Research Foundation. Kailash then worked as a Researcher at Guardian News & Media and as a Research Intern at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies | Nanyang Technological University in 2010 and 2011, respectively. In 2012, they joined the Delhi Policy Group as a Research Associate and contributed to the authoring of a report on Afghanistan. Kailash then worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Research from 2013 to 2015, where they played a role in developing a comprehensive database of India's development assistance projects. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Researcher at The Asia Foundation. Kailash joined The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 2017 as a Senior Research Fellow/Associate Editor, where they researched innovation in offshore renewable energy and conducted fundraising for a project on trust in the digital news media. Kailash then joined FutureMap in 2018 as a Senior Analyst and later became the Director of Research, a role they held until December 2021. In 2021, they also took on the role of Head of Research at Bilby. Currently, Kailash is the Director of Research at Climate Alpha, an AI-powered analytics platform for the real estate, asset management, and insurance industries.

Kailash K. completed a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) with a focus on International Political Economy and Pacific-Asia from The Fletcher School at Tufts University between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, Kailash pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Security at the University of Nottingham from 2008 to 2009. In 2004, Kailash graduated from Delhi University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in English literature.
