Helen Ferguson

Helen Ferguson is the current Director of People & Culture at Climate Bonds Initiative. Helen has over fifteen years of experience working in Human Resources and Learning & Development. Helen has a proven track record of developing and delivering people strategies, designing career and culture projects, and managing post-acquisition integrations.

Helen started their career in HR at Edif Group, where they spent two years as Head of HR. Helen then moved to RINA Consulting, where they spent four years as Head of HR and Group Head of Learning & Development. During their time at RINA, Helen led the people strategy for the UK, France, and Belgium businesses, and delivered learning and development projects at the group level.

In 2019, Helen joined Climate Bonds Initiative as Director of People & Culture. In this role, they are responsible for developing and implementing the people strategy for the organization. Helen is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and has been instrumental in developing Climate Bond’s DEI initiatives. Under their leadership, the organization has seen significant improvements in employee satisfaction and retention rates.

Helen Ferguson attended Queen Mary School Lytham and Southport College before completing a BA in English Literature and Classical Studies at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. Helen also holds certifications from the CIPD in ACEL (Advanced Certificate in Employment Law) and CIPD level 7 (post graduate Human Resource Management qualification), The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) in Diploma in Payroll Management, and Falconbury Ltd in Executive Mini MBA (specialising in Strategic Human Resources).

They are on a team with Evangelos Papakonstantinou - Head of Policy, Claire Berson - Executive Director, and Leisa Cardoso De Souza - Head of LatAm. Helen Ferguson reports to Sean Kidney, CEO & Co-Founder. and Lauren Gibbons - People Partner reports to Helen Ferguson.
