Hikaru Wakeel Hayakawa has a diverse work experience. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Vice President at Climate Cardinals since August 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Founding Partnerships Director and Senior Partnerships Director at the same organization. Hikaru also worked as a Partnerships Director at Climate Cardinals from June 2020 to January 2023.

In addition, Hikaru has been involved in various roles at Williams College. Hikaru Wakeel Hayakawa attended Columbia High School from 2015 to 2019 and obtained a high school diploma. In 2019, Hikaru received the New Jersey State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. From 2019 to 2020, Hikaru participated in the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program as a visiting student at DSU Gimnazija "Orce Nikolov" in Skopje, North Macedonia, focusing on Macedonian Language & Culture. Starting in 2020, Hikaru is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in History and double minors in Environmental and Global Studies at Williams College, anticipated to be completed in 2024. As a visiting student, Hikaru studied at the University of Oxford in 2022 and 2023, focusing on History and Economics.
