Mike Ward - Climate Action

Mike Ward has extensive experience in climate action and sustainable development, currently serving as a Senior Evaluation Officer at the Climate Investment Funds since January 2021, focusing on transformational change and learning. As Director of Creating Sustainable Value since 2016, Mike Ward supports the development of a Green Economy through consulting and research. Previously, Mike Ward held significant roles at WESSA, including Executive Director of Project Development and Deputy Director of Environmental Education, where responsibilities included program development and curriculum guidance. Earlier experience includes serving as Programme Manager at Ramboll Natura AB in Sweden, where Mike Ward initiated an International Training Programme on Education for Sustainable Development. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Henley Business School, a Master of Science in International Environmental Science from Lund University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Philosophy from the University of South Africa, along with the designation of Chartered Director (SA).
