Andy Kerr has a range of experience in the field of climate change and carbon management. Andy is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Climate-KIC, where they have been working since 2019. In this role, they are responsible for developing, learning, and scaling large-scale innovation experiments to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon economy.
Prior to joining Climate-KIC, Andy was the Director of the UK and Ireland at Climate-KIC from 2019 to 2022. In this position, they worked on public-private innovation partnerships and collaborated with partners in cities, business, government, and academia to promote sustainable and resilient practices.
From 2010 to 2018, Andy served as the Executive Director at Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI). During their tenure, they contributed to the organization's mission of advancing carbon management and played a key role in its strategic direction.
Andy also has experience at E3 International as a Director from 2003 to 2010, where they contributed to the development of low carbon transport fuel supply lines and trading environmental credits. Additionally, Andy worked as the Head of Environmental Commodities at Greenergy Carbon Partners Ltd. from 2001 to 2003, focusing on the development and trading of low carbon fuel supply lines.
Earlier in their career, they served as the Policy Director at Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Management from 2001 to 2003, where they played a crucial role in shaping environmental policy.
