Neil Walmsley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Neil most recently worked at Climate-KIC as the Head of International Adaptation Programmes & International Markets, overseeing program development and partnerships in Africa, Asia, Latin & Central America. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of International Markets & Programme Director, California at Climate-KIC, where they managed programs and partnerships with the State Government, corporate sponsors, and philanthropies. Neil also worked as the Global Partnerships & Business Development Lead at Climate-KIC. Before joining Climate-KIC, Neil was a Senior Manager at C40 Cities Finance Facility, where they were responsible for creating Climate Change Adaptation Investment plans for C40 megacities in Africa and Asia. Neil also played a role in establishing the CFF and securing funding for the pilot phase. Prior to that, they were the Cities Creditworthiness Network Manager at C40 Cities. Neil's work experience also includes roles at Ricardo-AEA, where they served as a Sustainable Cities Manager and Climate Change Adaptation specialist, working on projects related to climate change adaptation strategies and developing partnerships with international organizations. Neil started their professional career as a Field Archaeologist at various consultancy firms, conducting archaeological excavations and surveys. Neil also worked at Tomorrow's Company as a Development Manager, overseeing the organization's Climate Change and International Development Programs.
Neil Walmsley attended the University of Nottingham from 2001 to 2004, where they specialized in BA Archaeology (Hons) with a focus on Environmental Economics and International studies. After that, they pursued further education at the University of Kent from 2005 to 2006, earning an MA in International Relations.
