Sascha Lafeld

Sascha Lafeld is a seasoned professional in the field of corporate climate action, currently serving as Chief Carbon Officer and a member of the Executive Committee at ClimatePartner since September 2020. With a strong background in emissions reduction and offsetting, Sascha was an Accreditation Committee Member for ICROA from January 2022 to March 2024. Prior to this role, a sabbatical was taken from August 2018 to September 2020. Sascha co-founded and was the CEO of First Climate Markets AG from August 2013 to July 2018 and held the position of Executive Board Member and Co-Founder at First Climate AG from October 2003 to July 2013. Additional experience includes serving as Managing Director and Co-Founder of Sustainable Partner GmbH and Head of Climate Change Strategy at Dresdner Bank. Sascha began a consultancy role at the UN Environment Programme in June 1998. Educational achievements include a PhD in Economics and Political Science from the University of Münster and additional studies at International Christian University and University of East London.
