Matt Karvonen

Matt Karvonen is an experienced professional in ice operations and management, currently serving as the Ice Operations Manager at Climate Pledge Arena since August 2021, following a role as Assistant Ice Operations Manager. Prior experience includes contributions as an Ice Crewmember for NHL Winter Classics and Stadium Series with BaAM Productions and operational roles at Plymouth Ice Center and Xcel Energy Center. Matt also held the position of Ice Operations Director at The Recess Factory and has a background in retail management and diving instruction from a tenure at Air Down There SCUBA. Military service includes roles as Engineman 2nd Class (SW) in both the US Navy and the US Navy Reserve. Matt earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Century College between 2002 and 2005.
