Xiaohua Zhang currently serves as the Senior Director for China at ClimateWorks Foundation, a position held since February 2021. Prior to this role, Xiaohua held various influential positions within the United Nations, including Senior Policy Advisor for the Climate Action Team in the Executive Office of the Secretary General and Manager of the Climate and Sustainability Programme at the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC). Xiaohua's extensive experience in climate change negotiation and policy development also includes roles as Senior Policy Advisor for the Climate Change Support Team at the UN and Director at the National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation. Additionally, Xiaohua worked as a Programme Officer at UNFCCC and began a career in research as an Assistant Researcher at Tsinghua University after obtaining a Doctor of Engineering degree from the same institution.
