Brendan Nied

Brendan Nied is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sales and sustainability within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Climatebase Fellow since August 2025, Brendan has deepened knowledge in climate tech and conducted impactful research on distributed energy resources (DERs) and virtual power plants (VPPs). Previous roles include Sustainability and Renewable Energy Sales at World Kinect Energy Services, where Brendan contributed to pilot sales programs and developed AI-enhanced prospecting strategies. As a Commercial Solar & Storage Sales Representative at Promise Energy, Brendan executed B2B outreach and maintained client relationships, while earlier positions in SaaS sales at Lead Forensics and community outreach highlighted consistent sales success and advocacy for clean energy. Brendan holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Northern Illinois University and an Associate of Arts from Rock Valley College.
