Shawn Hern

Shawn Hern has extensive experience in the engineering field, with a focus on HVAC systems. Shawn is currently working at ClimateMaster, Inc. as the Director of Engineering, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Engineering - NPD at the same company from November 2021 to May 2023.

Before joining ClimateMaster, Inc., Shawn worked at Comfortworks, Inc. as the Engineering Director from June 2020 to November 2021. Shawn also held various positions at Johnson Controls, including Engineering Manager - Heat Pumps and Advanced Systems from August 2019 to June 2020, Engineering Manager - Advanced Systems and Technology from December 2017 to August 2019, and Staff Engineer from March 2016 to December 2017.

Shawn's earlier experience includes working at ClimateMaster, Inc. from July 2004 to December 2014, where they held the role of Director Engineering - Small Ducted Products. Shawn was responsible for managing a team of engineers and overseeing commercial and residential ducted product families. Prior to this, they were a Product Engineer, focusing on researching new technologies and products for water-source equipment.

Throughout their career, Shawn has worked closely with various departments such as marketing, product development, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to ensure timely project delivery and meet all requirements. Their expertise lies in HVAC system engineering and product research and development.

Shawn Hern has a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution from 1998 to 2002.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Shawn Hern has also obtained certifications in different fields. In January 2016, they received the EPA Section 608 Universal certification from the ESCO Institute. Furthermore, in October 2021, they obtained the 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification from the US Department of Labor OSHA.
