Marek Birchley

Marek Birchley has a diverse background in marketing, brand strategy, and creative planning. Marek began their career in 2008 as a Project Manager at The Taboo Group, where they developed and managed non-traditional integrated campaigns. In 2009, they became a Digital Account Manager at Mark/M&C Saatchi, where they managed online advertising projects for ANZ Deposits. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Mobiento as Lead Account Planner, interlinking media messages and creating lasting consumer relationships through mobile, digital, and brand communications. During this period, they also worked as a Creative Planner at The Works Sydney on a freelance basis. In 2013, they co-founded and became a board member of the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation, and also became Strategist and Director at HOTCAKES, which they created to help businesses find creative solutions to challenging problems. In 2015, they co-created Wonder Creative, a mission to help people rediscover their creative spark. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Second Wind AB as Co-founder and Marketing Director, a marketing studio that develops idea-based branding to position organisations for their next phase of growth. Marek is currently CMO and SVP of Marketing at ClimateView.

Marek Birchley's education history includes completing a Mini MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week in 2018, a Bachelor in Commerce from Monash University from 2004 to 2008, and a Certificate in Swedish For Immigrants (Svenska För Invandrare) from Folksuniversitetet in 2007.
