Paula Henry Mantilla

Senior Project Manager, Research at ClimateWorks Australia

Paula is responsible for the development and end-to-end delivery of collaborative projects working alongside businesses, to support their understanding, commitment and strong, credible action towards net zero emissions and limiting warming to 1.5 C degrees.

Her work includes a project related to ASX200 emissions commitments and climate-related disclosures. This is designed to build on Climateworks’ earlier Net Zero Momentum Tracker work by quantifying the potential real-world impacts of emissions reduction commitments by ASX200 companies and assessing their robustness. It is intended to provide insights that promote information sharing and best practice exchange among corporates, and allow them to understand where they sit among their peers.

Previously, Paula worked with the Spanish Climate Change Office, where she contributed to policy development in the pioneering area of transnational impacts of climate change, as a component of the redeveloped Spanish Adaptation Plan. In her role with AECOM, Paula led the pursuit of Europeaid-funded business opportunities, securing high value projects to develop low carbon policies and programs. In 2015, she had the opportunity to support a UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan, contributing to the protection of the environment.

Paula has a Degree in Environmental Sciences (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain), a Master in Environment Engineering (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), and a Master in International Relations and Diplomacy (Escuela Diplomática de Madrid). She also completed the Senior Management Competitive Exam with the Spanish National Civil Service.
