About Climatiq

We are a fast-growing climate tech startup on a mission to drive climate action through data and insight. Our team consists of entrepreneurs, technologists, and scientists who have come from backgrounds such as Google, MIT, and other leading companies and academic institutions. Together, we are building a tech platform that empowers organizations to take action in tackling the climate crisis. Our powerful carbon calculation engine helps businesses embed emission metrics into any software they already use to accurately calculate and continuously monitor their carbon footprint and drive better decisions.

Our platform is used by tens of thousands of sustainability leaders worldwide, and we are proud to be backed by renowned international VCs and investors in the climate-tech and software sector. We are also a certified B Corp, highlighting our commitment to balancing purpose and profit.

About the Role

We are now looking for an ambitious Strategic Partner Development Manager, to join our team in Berlin or remotely. In this new role, you will be responsible for driving partnerships with large B2B software platforms, cloud providers, and data partners from a global perspective. This includes SaaS providers in Supply Chain Planning & Execution, ERP, TMS & Logistics, IoT, and others.

What You’ll Do

This is an externally facing and multidisciplinary role where you will initiate, negotiate, and execute complex partnerships to unlock new revenue opportunities for Climatiq. This will involve liaising with product managers, sales, and marketing executives, including C-level at partner organizations. You will:

  • Establish and foster long-lasting relationships with key partners

  • Build, launch, and manage new initiatives to support partner outreach and engagement

  • Negotiate complex partnerships that unlock significant revenue for Climatiq

  • Develop deep knowledge of our products and the sustainability management landscape, and become deeply familiar with our partners’ products, customers and market

  • Act as a source of trust and expertise to partners, guiding them in their product development and go-to-market efforts

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering and management to ensure alignment of product development according to customer needs

What we look for

You are a creative thinker with a hunter mindset and a bias to action, ready to tackle non-standard deals. Your passion for technology will be crucial, as you’ll be working with a technical product designed for a tech-savvy audience.

  • 3+ years of experience in partner programs or channel models at an enterprise software or cloud company

  • 5+ years of experience across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS markets

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth in an enterprise SaaS environment, selling technical products to tech-savvy buyers

  • Experience negotiating contracts and collaborating with legal counsels, ideally with exposure to data licensing and product integration deals

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (e.g. Product, Marketing, and Customer Success), both internally and by navigating partner organizations

  • Understanding of what it means to be working in an early-stage startup environment and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of ambiguity

  • Knowledge of carbon accounting or supply chain practices is a big plus

Additional Information

  • Location: Berlin or Remote within +/- 2 hours of CET timezone

  • Starting date: As soon as possible

  • Hours: Full-time, flexible working hours

  • Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits, including employee stock options, learning and development stipend, regular team offsites, and more

As a certified B Corp, Climatiq is an equal-opportunity employer and we welcome and encourage candidates from all backgrounds and experiences to apply for roles on our team. Send us your CV and a short cover letter, highlighting your skills and experience, relevant for the advertised role.
