Amit Poonia

Amit Poonia has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning and natural language processing. Amit most recently worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Climatiq starting from January 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at Saiga from October 2020 to August 2022. Amit also worked at German Autolabs as a Senior NLP Software Engineer & Team Lead from January 2020 to August 2020, and as a Senior NLP Software Engineer from July 2019 to August 2020. Before that, they were a NLP Software Engineer at German Autolabs from January 2017 to June 2019. Additionally, Amit has experience as a CTO & Founder at Conversate for a brief period in 2016. Amit was also a Cohort Member at Entrepreneur First from March 2016 to August 2016. In 2015, Amit worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Gorgias. Amit started their career as a Student Assistant at HLRS - High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart in December 2012 and worked there until March 2013. Amit also worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Accenture from June 2011 to August 2012.

Amit Poonia pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. Amit attended the institute from 2007 to 2011. Subsequently, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computational Linguistics from the University of Stuttgart between 2012 and 2015.
