Emily Romano

Project Manager at ClimeCo

Emily joined ClimeCo in 2020 as a Project Manager. Before joining ClimeCo, she worked as an environmental consultant in soil and groundwater remediation. Her current focus involves projects that use nature-based solutions. In graduate school at Northern Arizona University, she studied the influence of a warming Arctic climate on Alaskan permafrost soil carbon stocks and participated in outreach events sharing climate and ecosystem science with students, the public, and scientists. She also studied soil science and agronomy at West Virginia University’s Organic Agriculture Research Farm, which is among the largest certified organic research farms dedicated to teaching, research, and outreach.

Emily has a Master of Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Science in Agronomy from West Virginia University, and a B.S. in Earth Science from Syracuse University.
