Jane Hermansen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jane started their career in 1988 as a Laboratory Technologist at Mayo Clinic and later became a Technical Resource Specialist. Jane then transitioned into the role of Outreach Program Coordinator and eventually became a Network Manager at Mayo Medical Laboratories. Jane'smost recent role at Mayo Clinic was Manager of Outreach and Network Development.
In 2013, Jane also started working with the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA), where they held various leadership positions. Jane served on the Board of Directors from 2013 to 2015, was the President-Elect from 2015 to 2017, and then served as the President from 2017 to 2019. Jane continued their involvement as the Immediate Past President and ultimately became the Past President in 2021.
Jane Hermansen obtained their MBA from the New York Institute of Technology in 2009. Prior to that, they received their BA in Medical Technology from Concordia College between 1981 and 1985. Jane also has additional certifications including Power of Process Master and Power of Process Champion from LabVine, obtained in 2020, and a SmithBucklin Leadership Institute certification obtained in 2017.
