Shannon Vaffis, PhD, MPH

Shannon Vaffis, PhD, MPH has a diverse work history spanning from 2004 to present day. Shannon holds a current role as a Research Scientist at Clinical Outcomes Solutions. Shannon'sprior experience includes Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Arizona from 2017 to 2022 and Clinical Development Specialist at Roche from 2021 to 2022. Shannon also held various positions at Roche from 2015 to 2019 including Market Access and Project Manager - Medical Affairs. Shannon served as Protocol Review and Monitoring System Coordinator and Project Manager at the University of Arizona Cancer Center from 2012 to 2015, and held multiple roles at Arizona Smokers' Helpline from 2006 to 2012, most recently as Assistant Director. Shannon's early experience includes positions such as Smoking Cessation Associate at New York State Smokers' Quitline in 2005 and Researcher at North East London Strategic Health Authority in 2004.

Shannon Vaffis has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Baldwin Wallace University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Shannon then earned a Master of Public Health in Community Health Practice from the University of Arizona from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy in Health and Pharmaceutical Outcomes, Health Policy, and Regulatory Science at the University of Arizona. In 2019, they received a Graduate Certificate of Law in Regulatory Science from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. In addition, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2014.
