Sterling Mumford began their work experience in 2005 with the State of Vermont, where they served as a Night Supervisor/Scanner. Sterling'sresponsibilities included scanning 20,000 documents daily and completing assigned office responsibilities and nightly reports.

From 2007 to 2011, Mumford worked at Ferguson Enterprises, starting as an Assistant Operations Manager and later becoming the Warehouse Manager. More recently, Mumford transitioned to the role of Customer Service Support Manager at Clinisys. In this role, they oversee the customer service support operations and addresses customer concerns to ensure smooth installation, operation, maintenance, and product application.

Sterling Mumford began their education in 2001 at the College of Eastern Utah, where they pursued an Associate of Science degree. Sterling studied there until 2005.
