Carlo Santia has over 40 years of experience in the field of engineering and planning. Carlo started their career in 1977 at the Road Commission for Macomb County, where they served as the County Highway Engineer until 2002. In that year, they founded Traffic Engineering Consultants, Inc., where they have since held the position of President. Additionally, Santia worked as the Director of Planning & Community Development for the Charter Township of Clinton from 2002 to 2018, and is currently retired from that position. Throughout their career, Santia has gained expertise in various areas including planning, economic development, civil engineering, and transportation engineering.

Carlo Santia obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University, completing their studies from 1972 to 1979.
