Marlei Silva

Marlei Silva has extensive work experience in the financial and technology industry. Marlei is currently the VP of Payments at Clip, a position they have held since April 2023. Before joining Clip, Marlei held the role of Director - Digital Bank at PagSeguro PagBank from October 2018 to March 2023.

Prior to working at PagSeguro PagBank, Marlei served as the Head of Financial Services at Mercado Pago Brasil from November 2016 to October 2018. Marlei also held leadership positions at Guiabolso as the Head of Marketplace from an unknown date in 2015 to November 2016.

Marlei began their career at Bain & Company as a Consultant from August 2014 to August 2015. Marlei then moved on to GE Capital where they held various roles from September 2004 to March 2012. These roles included Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operations Officer from December 2008 to March 2012, Sr. Risk Manager from May 2008 to June 2010, Operations Manager - Czech Republic Business from October 2007 to April 2008, and Operations Manager from September 2004 to September 2007.

Marlei Silva completed their education in a chronological manner. Marlei first pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from FECAP, which they successfully graduated from in 2002. Following this, they obtained a Post Graduate degree in Finance from Ibmec, completing their studies in 2005. Later on, Marlei attended The Wharton School, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance and General Management, ultimately graduating in 2014.
