Ariel Leiva

Ariel Leiva has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ariel is currently serving as the VP of Software Engineering at Clip since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the same position at dLocal from December 2021 to December 2022.

From 2011 to 2021, Ariel worked at Mercado Libre holding various leadership roles. Ariel served as the Director of Engineering from January to November 2021, Senior Software Developer Manager from January 2014 to December 2020, and Software Development Manager from June 2011 to December 2013.

Before joining Mercado Libre, Ariel worked as a Lecturer at Universidad Nacional de San Luis from November 2007 to February 2012. Ariel also worked as a Project Leader at MercadoLibre.com from 2007 to 2011.

Earlier in their career, Ariel worked as a Senior Software Developer at NEC from 2006 to 2007 and at Ciliare Software S.A. from January 2005 to June 2006. Ariel started their career as a Software Engineer at NEC Corporation from January 2002 to December 2004.

Ariel Leiva completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences from Universidad Nacional de San Luis between 1993 and 1998. Ariel then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University, graduating between the years 2000 and 2002.
