Amit Varma

Amit Varma has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Amit is currently working as the Head of Finance at Clockwise since August 2022. Prior to that, from October 2021 to July 2022, they served as the Director of FP&A at Upwave. Before joining Upwave, Amit worked at Reddit, Inc. as a Senior Finance Manager from May 2019 to October 2021. Amit also spent several years at WageWorks, where they held the positions of Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis from August 2018 to May 2019, and Sr. Financial Analyst from November 2015 to August 2018.

Amit's earlier work experience includes roles such as Financial Analyst at Berkeley Research Group LLC from February 2015 to September 2015, and Financial Analyst at Littler Mendelson from March 2014 to February 2015. Amit has also served as a Controller at Parking Management Inc. from September 2011 to August 2013, and Accounting Manager at iCore Networks from February 2011 to September 2011.

Amit started their career at PAE Government Services as an Accounting Manager from June 2009 to June 2010. Amit also gained experience in internal audit as part of the Internal Audit team at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car from October 2007 to June 2009.

Amit Varma holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from UCLA, which they obtained in the years 2000 to 2004. Later, in 2010 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Finance at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School. In addition to their formal education, Amit also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including "Getting and Cleaning Data" in October 2017, "R Programming" in September 2017, and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" in August 2017.
