Derek Stache

Derek Stache has over four years of professional experience in the fields of behavioral health, education, and project management. In 2019, they worked as a Freelance Project Manager for Clockwork, where they designed and organized a task management system to increase employee efficiency and productivity, implemented an employee activity tracking process, and provided account management for an integrated customer success and sales department. In 2018, they worked as a Behavior Technician for STAR of California, where they provided daily direct intervention at home and school for children with autism and related disorders, utilized Applied Behavior Analysis to conduct parent education using specialized intervention models, and contributed to program development while collecting data, organizing and completing progress notes, and writing client reports. In 2017, they worked as a Geriatric Case Management Intern for CSI Support & Development Services, where they conducted over 25 assessments resulting in successful aging in place for older adults, organized a health fair of 20 agency providers, and managed the implementation of a food assistance program. Derek also worked as a Classroom Tutor for America Reads*America Counts, where they provided reading instruction to more than 60 elementary students and conducted informal assessments to evaluate their progress. Additionally, they worked as a Language and Culture Assistant for Comunidad de Madrid, where they taught English as a Second Language to more than 300 Spanish secondary students, and provided intense English language exam preparation to 90 students. In 2016, they worked as a Skill Building and Community Living Support Mentor for IKUS Life Enrichment Services, where they implemented Person-Centered Plans with over 40 adult clients with developmental disabilities, and facilitated client self-sufficiency and independence through community engagement activities. Finally, in 2015, they worked as a Behavioral Health Intern for Cherry Health, where they conducted 45 emotion and behavior prescreen assessments with elementary students, facilitated a six-week support group for boys, and utilized electronic medical records, Spanish language abilities, and motivational interviewing while working as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Derek Stache obtained their Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Spanish from Calvin University in 2016.
