Abi Adeoye

Abi (Abimbola) Adeoye is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in regulatory risk and compliance across prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as a Compliance Officer at Close Brothers since July 2023, Abi has previously held the position of Regulatory Risk & Controls Consultant at Santander UK from June 2020 to June 2023. Prior experience includes a role within the Financial Conduct Authority from March 2014 to June 2020, focusing on Authorisations and Supervision, with expertise in areas such as the Senior Management & Certification Regime, Payment Services Directive II, and Financial Crime/AML. Abi holds an International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention from the International Compliance Association, as well as multiple degrees, including Senior Compliance & Risk Specialist from BPP University, GDL in Law from the College of Law London, a Call to Bar from the Nigerian Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Obafemi Awolowo University.
