Carmaniola Benjamin is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in civic education and advocacy. Currently serving as a Civic Fellow at Close Up Foundation, Carmaniola leads programs that foster discussions on political issues among students. Concurrently, as a PLUS Scholar with the Law School Admission Council, tailored support is provided for aspiring law students. Previous experiences include an internship with the New York State Unified Court System as a Criminal Court Judicial Intern, and leadership roles at Mercy University, including Deputy Head Delegate for Model United Nations and Vice President of the Haitian Student Union. Carmaniola has participated in numerous programs aimed at underrepresented individuals, including the DiveIN: Sheller Pipeline program at Drexel University and advocacy training with the ACLU. Carmaniola holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Affairs, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Mercy University.
