Yiqun Gloria Chen

Yiqun Gloria Chen, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. Yiqun Gloria is currently serving as the Chief Economist at Cloud Harbor Economics LLC since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Analyst at the Congressional Budget Office from July 2016 to February 2022, where they specialized in macroeconomics and forecasting, particularly in labor markets, inflation, and national healthcare spending. During this time, they were responsible for CBO's forecasts of various economic indicators and trends.

Before joining the Congressional Budget Office, Dr. Chen worked as a Consultant at the International Finance Corporation for a brief period in 2016. Yiqun Gloria also served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Maryland from August 2011 to May 2016, and as a Dissertation Fellow at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in June 2015. Overall, Dr. Chen's work experience showcases their expertise in macroeconomics, forecasting, and economic analysis.

Yiqun Gloria Chen, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (Summa Cum Laude) in Mathematics and their Bachelor of Arts (Summa Cum Laude) in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. Yiqun Gloria then pursued their Master of Arts - MA in Economics from the University of Maryland from 2010 to 2013. Afterward, they continued their education at the University of Maryland and completed their PhD in Economics in 2016. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Nanjing Foreign Language School in Nanjing, China for their high school education.
