Saravanan Palanisamy

Saravanan Palanisamy has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Saravanan is currently working as a Senior Software Design Engineer at CloudIQ Technologies since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Hexaware Technologies from January 2021 to May 2022.

From November 2018 to January 2021, Saravanan served as a Data Engineer / Architect, and also as a Delivery Lead at Cloud IQ Technologies. Before that, they worked at FIS as a Technical Project Manager from July 2014 to March 2018. Saravanan also held the position of IT Project Manager at Citi from April 2013 to July 2014, and as a Project Manager at Wipro Technologies from January 2013 to July 2014.

Saravanan started their career at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where they worked as a Sr Product Specialist - Tech from November 2012 to January 2013, and as a Senior Associate - Projects from August 2006 to January 2013. Saravanan also worked at Bank of New York Mellon as an Onsite Technical Lead from February 2011 to January 2012, and as a Project Lead from June 2008 to January 2011.

Additionally, Saravanan gained experience as an Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services from December 2003 to August 2006, and as a Programmer Analyst at Syntel from October 2002 to December 2003.

Saravanan Palanisamy has a diverse education history and has acquired several certifications in the field of computer science and engineering. Saravanan obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy in Chennai. The duration of their undergraduate studies lasted from 1996 to 2000. Saravanan also attended Anna University, although the start and end years of their time there are unknown. Saravanan attended St. John's MHSS and Vijayanta Senior Secondary School, but the details of any degrees earned from these institutions are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Saravanan has obtained numerous certifications. Saravanan became a Flutter Certified Application Developer through Android ATC in October 2022. In April 2022, they achieved the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Saravanan also holds certifications from IBM, including COBOL Programming with VSCode, Introduction to IBM z/OS, and Introduction to z/OS Commands and Panels on IBM Z, all obtained in February 2021. Saravanan acquired the DP-200 Implementing an Azure Data Solution certification from Microsoft in February 2020 and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification in July 2019. Saravanan has earned various Python certifications, including PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming, PCEP – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer, and [PCAP-31-02] PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming, all obtained in April 2019. Saravanan has also completed training and received certifications from Couchbase Training in enterprise NoSQL data management, essentials of Couchbase Enterprise NoSQL technology, data modeling in JSON, N1QL ("SQL for JSON"), and the Couchbase SDK (Java) in December 2018. Additionally, Saravanan holds the Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate certification from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), obtained in January 2023, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in February 2022.

Furthermore, they have obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification in June 2020 and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification in April 2021. Saravanan also holds the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in November 2019.
