Senior Geospatial Software Engineer at Floodbase

Paolo Corti has extensive experience in geospatial software engineering and development. Paolo is currently working as a Senior Geospatial Software Engineer at Floodbase, a position they started in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Geospatial Software Engineer at Vanu, Inc. from January 2020 to November 2021.

Paolo's earlier experience includes working as a Technical Author at Packt Publishing, where they co-authored the "PostGIS Cookbook". Paolo also worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Environment and Sustainability, where they contributed to the development of web services for the European Forest Data Centre and the European Forest Fire Information System.

Before pursuing their academic and research career, Paolo worked as an IT Project Manager at Istituto Promozione Industriale and as a Product Specialist at ESRI Italia S.p.A. In these roles, they led IT projects, developed web/GIS applications, and provided support for ArcGIS Desktop.

Overall, Paolo Corti has a diverse background in geospatial software engineering, development, and research, with experience in both academic and industry settings.

From 1990 to 1998, Paolo Corti studied at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they obtained both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree. Paolo'sfield of study was Land and Environmental Engineering.
