Tomi Raittinen

Tomi Raittinen has extensive work experience in the field of network engineering and consulting. Tomi started their career in 2007 as a Telecommunications Mechanic at Seikanmäki Networks. In 2008, they worked as a TCM Engineer Trainee at Ericsson. From 2009 to 2020, Tomi worked at Telia Cygate Oy, where they held various roles such as Network Specialist, NOC, Network Specialist, L2, Senior Network Engineer in Platforms, and Senior Network Engineer in Consulting. During their time at Telia Cygate Oy, they gained experience in handling network-related incidents, changes, and problems within managed service customer networks, as well as collaborating with third parties to resolve customer issues. Since 2020, Tomi has been working at Cloud2 Oy, initially as a Senior Consultant and currently as the Cloud Network Lead.

Tomi Raittinen has a diverse education history. Tomi earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Data Networks from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. In 2008 and 2009, Tomi attended Ngee Ann Polytechnic as an exchange student, focusing on Information Technology. Tomi then pursued a Master's degree in Communications Ecosystem at Aalto University, which they completed from 2013 to 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Tomi has obtained several certifications related to their field. Tomi became a VMware Certified Master Specialist - VMware Cloud on AWS in 2023 through VMware. Tomi achieved the VCP-NV - VMware Certified Professional Network Virtualization certification in both 2020 and 2023, also from VMware. Tomi holds the JNCIE-ENT - Juniper Networks Certified Expert Enterprise Routing and Switching certification since 2015, offered by Juniper Networks. Tomi became a CCNP Enterprise - Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise in 2013, certified by Cisco.

Furthermore, Tomi has obtained various certifications from other institutions. Tomi earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021. Tomi also obtained the Azure Network Engineer Associate certification from Microsoft in 2022. Tomi holds the Amazon Web Services Advanced Networking Specialty certification from AWS, achieved in 2020. Tomi is a certified Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer (2021) and a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (2021), both certifications awarded by Google. Lastly, they hold the ITILv3 Foundation certification from APM Group, although the specific date of achievement is unknown.
