Maria Alejandra Perez Valencia

Maria Alejandra Perez Valencia has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Maria Alejandra started as an Intern at The Refugee Education Trust in 2011, where they managed communication with participants and established communication systems. Maria Alejandra then became the General Manager of Wanderlust Armenia from 2015 to 2020, where they successfully positioned the hostel as one of the best in Armenia, Colombia. Maria later joined Selina as a General Manager from 2019 to 2020. Maria Alejandra then worked as an Office Manager at PALO IT in 2021, where they contributed to the company's human-centered design and agile software development projects. In 2022, they worked as a Travel Designer at Pure! Travel Group, responsible for designing itineraries for B2B clients in Colombia. Currently, they are an Onboarding Coach at Cloudbeds. Throughout their career, Maria has shown detail orientation, a high level of customer service, and a passion for delivering quality products and services.

Maria Alejandra Perez Valencia completed their Master's degree in Periodismo de viajes from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Internacionalista with a focus on Relaciones internacionales y asuntos exteriores from Universidad del Rosario, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Maria has obtained several certifications, including one in Revenue Management from LA ASOCIACIÓN HOTELERA Y TURÍSTICA DE COLOMBIA COTELCO in March 2021, and certifications in Gestion de proyectos con un café and Pensamiento estratégico from LinkedIn in January 2021.
