Mic Neale

Mic Neale is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering, entrepreneurship, and investment. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at TBD since November 2022, Neale leads engineering efforts focused on open source projects within the Block Inc family. As an Angel Investor and Advisor at Sprkl since January 2022, Neale supports a personal observability platform for developers. Neale co-founded CloudBees in March 2010, contributing to the development of a platform as a service for developers, while also being involved in technology selection, product research, marketing, and hiring efforts. Other ventures include co-founding Rad Alert, working at Red Hat (JBoss division) as a Project Leader on JBoss Rules, and key roles at The Codehaus and JBoss Inc. Additionally, Neale held managerial positions in previous companies such as Suncorp and E-Plus Pty Ltd. Neale holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Electrical Engineering from UNSW.
