Alex Dixon

Alex Dixon has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Currently, they work at Cloudbooking as a Lead Technical QA Engineer. Prior to that, they held roles such as Senior Technical QA Analyst and Technical QA Analyst at the same company.

Before joining Cloudbooking, Alex worked at AMAG Technology as a Lead Product Automation Engineer, where they developed test automation strategies, created frameworks, and converted manual test scripts into automation code. Alex also held the position of Lead Product Engineer, responsible for ensuring product functionality and recording defects. Earlier in their career at AMAG Technology, they worked as an Application Services Analyst.

Alex began their career at Carphone Warehouse as a Customer Consultant and later returned for a temporary role. Alex also worked as a Student Warden at CRM Students, where they handled various responsibilities related to student accommodation. Additionally, Alex founded TapHub, a technology blog focused on news, reviews, and guides in the tech and gaming industry.

Before that, Alex gained experience as a Sales Consultant at Gamestation, where they managed stock deliveries, organized products, and assisted customers with purchases.

Alex Dixon began their education at Whitecross High School from 2003 to 2008. After completing high school, Alex attended Hereford Sixth Form College from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained an A Level qualification. Following that, Alex pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of the West of England from 2011 to 2014. Later on, Alex furthered their studies at the University of Birmingham from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Qualified Teacher Status) in Secondary Mathematics. Additionally, Alex obtained certification as a Slack Certified Admin from Slack in February 2021.
