Phil Zampino

Phil Zampino is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Cloudera since January 2019, Phil also contributes as a PMC Member and Committer for Apache Knox at The Apache Software Foundation. Additional roles include a Staff Software Engineer in Security at Hortonworks and a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, where significant work on the Java EE 7 Platform and WSDM standards took place. Early career positions include senior engineering roles at HP, Bluestone Software, and Internet Keiretsu, among others. Phil holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University.
