Sean Roberts has over two decades of experience in the field of information technology, specifically in site reliability engineering and IT management. Since January 2019, Sean has held multiple senior leadership positions at Cloudera, culminating in the role of Director, Site Reliability Engineering. Prior to Cloudera, Sean was with Hortonworks from December 2014 to January 2019, where positions included Manager and Principal Site Reliability Engineer. Sean's earlier career includes significant roles at Rackspace from 2006 to 2014, progressing through various technical and leadership positions, as well as serving as IT Manager for Neblett, Beard & Arsenault from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, Sean led a team for Compaq Computer Corp, managing the replacement of computer systems at Social Security Administration offices, and served as Director of IT for the City of Pineville, LA, from 1998 to 2001.
