About the Job:

The Vice President of Worldwide Sales is responsible for leading our sales team to deliver revenue. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Worldwide Sales is an integral partner on the executive leadership team, working cross function to strategically grow the company and role model the company values.

This role will require extensive Enterprise Infrastructure Software experience, channel management, international leadership, and being a trusted advisor to customers in their hybrid cloud and AI journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives to achieve sales targets within the resource and delivery capabilities of the company across the company’s product and service’s components.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor a global sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand market share and drive penetration into emerging markets.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships with key clients, distributors, and channel partners to enhance sales opportunities and foster long-term relationships.
  • Sales Performance Management: Establish clear performance metrics, sales compensation plans, and KPIs to evaluate sales performance and ensure the achievement of revenue goals.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to executive leadership, offering insights into sales trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Product and Market Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and product development initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and customer experience teams to align sales efforts with overall company objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sales organization, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices to optimize sales processes and maximize efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years hands-on senior sales management experience in sales strategy planning and execution, sales operations, business planning, and sales support management in enterprise infrastructure software.
  • Extensive sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a global sales capacity. Able to travel as needed.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and maintaining a robust sales pipeline that supports and drives revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Expertise in Enterprise Software and strategic account management; storage and cybersecurity industry experience desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams and partnering well with peer teams.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. Highly effective negotiations and oral written communications; history of building rapport and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including customers, partners, peers and the board of directors.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through innovation and collaboration; must be action and results-oriented, a team player and adaptable
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or engineering.
