Brennus Middag

Brennus Middag has extensive work experience in the field of technology and storage management. Brennus has held various roles at different companies, starting with their position as an Application Administrator at D-Reizen in 2005. From there, they worked as a Systems Administrator at T2 and as a Storage Administrator at Heineken Nederland. In 2007, they became a Storage Manager at Dienst Justitiele Inrichtingen.

In 2008, Brennus started their own business, Oosterbaan IT, where they worked as an Owner/Freelance Storage Consultant. Brennus also served as a Storage Consultant at SSC-I and Getronics Consulting during the same time period.

In 2011, Brennus joined Schuberg Philis as a Mission Critical Engineer, focusing on Service Development. Brennus was responsible for delivering high available data management and object storage solutions.

After leaving Schuberg Philis in 2016, Brennus took on the role of Senior Product Manager at Cloudian Inc, where they worked until 2018. Brennus then transitioned to the position of Director of Customer Success, EMEA at Cloudian Inc. In 2019, Brennus was promoted to the role of Global Director of Customer Success.

Brennus Middag has a diverse education history primarily focused on technical certifications and training. In 1992-1998, they attended HAVO, where they studied Wiskunde A, Wiskunde B, and Natuurkunde. In 2001, they completed a HP NonStop Himalaya (Tandem) Administration course. The following year, in 2002, they completed a TACL - Tandem Advanced Command Language course. In 2003, they obtained a certification in ITIL Foundation and completed training in HP NonStop Himalaya (Tandem) S-Series.

In 2004-2006, Brennus pursued a Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA 2003) degree, specializing in Windows Server 2003 and Messaging on Windows Server 2003. In 2006, they also completed training in HP Data Protector and HP EVA Bootcamp.

Furthering their technical knowledge, Brennus attended Nexenta System Administration training in 2012. In the same year, they received training in DTrace: Core Features and Performance Analysis and Opscode Chef Training in 2013.

Continuing their education in data management and storage, Brennus obtained certifications including Commvault Certified Administrator (2008), NetApp Data ONTAP Administration (2008), and Commvault Certified Solutions Architect (2014) with a focus on Simpana 7 Administration and Simpana 10.

Brennus also achieved various certifications from Commvault, including Commvault Certified Support (2011), Commvault Certified System Administrator (2011), Commvault Certified Engineer (2011), Commvault Certified Specialist - Storage (2011), Commvault Certified Specialist - Disaster Recovery (2012), Commvault Certified Specialist - Virtual Data Management (2014), Commvault Certified Professional (2014), and Commvault Certified Master (2014).

In 2014, they attended a Cloudstack Bootcamp and obtained the Cloudian Certified Engineer certification in 2016.
