Monica Rice

Monica Rice has extensive work experience starting in 2010 as a Desktop Support Intern at Pierce College District 11. From there, they went on to found and manage IT at GeekGirlCon from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they worked as a CIT Instructional Technician at Clover Park Technical College. Monica then joined ACT 1 Theatre as a Web Manager from 2016 to 2017. Since 2016, they have been working at cloudPWR, starting as a Help Desk Technician until 2018 when they became a Software Engineer. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Systems Engineer at cloudPWR.

Monica Rice has a comprehensive education history in the field of IT and software development. Monica began their higher education journey in 2007 at Pierce College at Puyallup, where they pursued an Associate of Science degree in Computer Network Engineering. Monica completed this program in 2010, gaining essential knowledge and skills in the field.

In 2012, Monica Rice furthered their education by enrolling at Clover Park Technical College. During their time there, they focused on web development and obtained an Associate of Science degree in 2013.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Monica Rice enrolled at Western Governors University in 2013. Monica successfully completed their studies in IT - Software and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014.

Alongside their formal education, Monica Rice has also acquired numerous certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2013, they earned certifications as a JavaScript Specialist and a Web Design Specialist from Certification Partners (CIW). In 2014, they added certifications as an OCA Java SE 7 Programmer I from Oracle, a Perl Specialist, a Web Development Professional, and a v5 Database Design Specialist, all from Certification Partners (CIW). Furthermore, in 2014, they obtained a Project+ certification from CompTIA.

Demonstrating their commitment to staying current in their field, Monica Rice recently obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020. Monica earned certifications as an Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner and as an Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate.
