Role Overview

As a member of our global team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals from diverse backgrounds, leveraging their insights and experiences to drive strategic HR initiatives forward. Reporting directly to the Global HR Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our India leadership team, providing expert guidance and proactive solutions to address their evolving needs.

Working closely with our HR Advisors, you will be at the heart of our operational functions, ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes and initiatives. Together, we strive to cultivate an environment where talent thrives, innovation flourishes, and organizational goals are exceeded.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their objectives and develop HR strategies to support business goals.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on all HR-related matters including talent management, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.

  • Drive the implementation of global HR programs and initiatives at the local level, ensuring alignment with local laws and regulations.

  • Lead and facilitate talent review discussions, succession planning, and workforce planning activities.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee development, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.

  • Partner with the global HR team to design and deliver training and development programs for employees and managers.

  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with the HR shared services team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of HR services.

  • Stay abreast of HR best practices, trends, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Act as a champion of the organization's culture and values, fostering an inclusive and engaged work environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Operational Expertise: A strong understanding of HR lifecycles and processes, with proven experience in effectively managing the operational side of HR functions. Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Exceptional Relationship-Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with employees, managers, and senior leadership across all levels of the organization. Proven track record of fostering trust and collaboration to support HR initiatives and drive organizational success.

  • Open Communication and Empathy: Skilled in fostering open communication channels, actively listening to concerns, and demonstrating empathy and understanding. Ability to address employee needs and concerns effectively, promoting a culture of transparency and mutual respect.

  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management abilities, including collaborating closely with department heads, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to align HR strategies with business objectives. Experience in navigating complex organizational structures and driving consensus among diverse stakeholders.

  • Conflict Resolution: Proficiency in conflict resolution, with the capability to address employee grievances, mediate disputes, and facilitate constructive dialogue to maintain positive working relationships. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and tact.

  • Influencing and Persuasion: Demonstrated influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to articulate HR strategies and initiatives in a compelling manner to gain buy-in from various stakeholders. Proven track record of driving change and driving adoption of HR programs through effective communication and persuasion.

  • Executive Presence: Executive presence and professionalism, particularly in interactions with senior leaders and executives. Ability to command attention, showcase confidence, gravitas, and adaptability in high-stakes situations, contributing to the credibility and impact of HR initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or strategic HR role.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws in India and globally.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to drive change and lead HR initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Experience working in a global team is preferred.

Desired skills:

  • HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) a plus.

Tools and platforms

    • Proficiency in using HRIS platforms
      • Experience with ATS platforms
      • Familiarity with performance management tools
      • Knowledge of LMS platforms
      • Experience with tools that aid in measuring employee engagement, conducting surveys, and collecting feedback to improve workplace culture and morale
      • Proficiency in collaboration tools
      • Skills in data analysis using tools
