Lauren Seawright

Lauren - our company organiser, project manager and employee relations aka herder of cats!

She has over 15 years experience in both public and private sector, managing offices and personnel across orgs in education, government and tech.

Serving as liaison between staff, senior leaders and CEO regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals and planning. Assisting in defining new operational strategies and overseeing all areas of hiring, onboarding as well as managing all Human Resource functions for the company. Building and developing relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness into existing operations. Lauren is our facilitator for staff and departments and oversee daily operations.

I've always been the person in a big org doing the most, across many disciplines and putting in the overtime when needed, but I chose to see that as an opportunity to reap the benefits and build a career. I knew I could do more, I wasn't sure what that 'more' was but ultimately I've found it; more responsibility, more respect, more challenges, more learning, more trust, more understanding of who I am and what I can offer, and ironically, more work! But I'm here for it...

I'm a strong advocate for choosing a role based on the emotional value it provides rather than money or status.

It's the entire reason I'm at Cloudsmith - I found my folks, the ones who celebrate my wins and commiserate my fails in equal measure. Always supportive, always full of fun, always with resilience, always with commitment. We have a great team and I act as their ally in every way possible, while juggling my day-to-day duties!
