In 2016, Lee and Alan launched Cloudsmith with a visionary mission: to unite developers everywhere with a genuinely developer-centric cloud-based artifact management platform and to achieve Northern Ireland's next technological IPO. They met as colleagues when they joined Wombat Financial Software, acquired by the NYSE, to drive the development of their Market Data Technology platform. Having spent a good portion of their time unwinding a web of technical and business challenges while walking to and from Starbucks (a caffeinated developer is a happy developer), they realized that they needed to start a new company to truly embrace the Cloud, to build by developers, for developers, and so (re)joined the start-up ecosystem with grand ideas and a more grand vision. Having attracted landmark VCs and funds for a Series A and scaled the business up to encompass a world-class management team, they continue to work at the executive level to bring Cloudsmith to its destination on the global stage.
