Rebecca Reyes has been working in the Information Technology field since 2013. Rebecca began their career as a Farm Apprentice at Red Hook Farms, where they worked with other youth to complete tasks that involved the raising, processing, and distributing of crops. In 2015, they took on the role of Market Manager/Crew Leader, leading workshops for groups of 50 - 100 individuals at conferences and the Red Hook Community Farm. In 2017, they became the CSA Coordinator for Red Hook Farms, coordinating and executing outreach for the CSA and Fresh Food Box. In 2018, they worked as a Food Educator for Children's Aid, holding 3 to 6 cooking workshops a week for children ages 2 to 13. In 2019, they worked as a Visitor Experience for the SOUTH STREET SEAPORT MUSEUM FOUNDATION, educating visitors about New York's history as a port city. In 2021, they worked as an IT Infrastructure Intern for the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) and as an NPower Trainee for the nonprofit NPower, engaging in educational and professional courses that are focused on developing skills to secure a career in the Information Technology field. Currently, they are working as a Microsoft Cloud Engineer for Cloudwell.

Rebecca Reyes obtained their GED from Millennium Brooklyn High School in 2016. Rebecca then attended Penn State University from 2020-2024, graduating with a Bachelor in Science in Information Sciences and Technology; Design and Development. During their time at Penn State University, they obtained an Associate in Science in Information Science and Technology in 2022 and a CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Certification in 2021. Additionally, they obtained a Cisco Networking Academy Entrepreneurship Certification in 2021.
