Dave Hall

Dave Hall is the current University Secretary at The Open University. Dave has previously worked as the Registrar and Secretary at the University of Leicester, the Academic Registrar at the University of Birmingham, and the Director of Research and Development Services at the University of Warwick.

Dave has been responsible for the leadership of University Professional Services staff across a range of institutions, including finance, HR, marketing, estates, IT, and academic administration. Dave is a experienced member of senior management teams, and has also served as secretary to governing bodies.

Dave Hall studied history and sociology at the University of Reading. Dave then went on to work as a historian, specializing in the history of the United Kingdom.

Their manager is Baroness Lane-Fox, Chancellor. They are on a team with Marcia Wilson - Dean for EDI, Malcolm Sweeting - Pro-Chancellor, and Nick Braithwaite - Executive Dean.
