Madeline Umscheid

Madeline Umscheid has a diverse work experience in the fields of software engineering, management, and education. Madeline currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at CloudZero, where they started in March 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Software Engineering Manager at CloudZero from February 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining CloudZero, Madeline worked at Epic, starting in 2014. During their time at Epic, they held multiple roles, including Product Lead from March 2019 to February 2021, Software Development Team Lead from July 2018 to February 2021, and Software Developer from August 2014 to March 2019.

Prior to their experience at Epic, Madeline worked at Hamilton College, where they served as a Writing Tutor from September 2012 to May 2014 and as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant from January 2012 to December 2013.

Additionally, Madeline gained valuable experience through internships. Madeline worked as a Service Desk Analyst Intern at Virteva from June 2013 to August 2013 and as a Software Development Intern at Source Water Solutions, LLC from June 2012 to August 2012.

Madeline Umscheid has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a concentration in Mathematics and minors in English and Computer Science from Hamilton College. Additionally, they spent a semester abroad at The University of Edinburgh, studying in the School of Informatics. In July 2022, Madeline obtained a certification as a FinOps Certified Practitioner from the FinOps Foundation.
