Kelly Lusk

Director Of Program Services – Cincinnati at Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired

Kelly Lusk, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of visual impairment and blindness. Kelly currently holds the position of Director of Program Services at the Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired, where they manage various programs. Prior to this, they worked as a Manager for Youth and Pediatric Vision Services, TVI, and Researcher at the same organization. Kelly also worked as a TVI/Low Vision Consultant at Clovernook Center.

Before joining the Clovernook Center, Kelly worked as an Independent Consultant in Visual Impairment and Blindness. Kelly provided consulting services in this field between 2016 and 2023.

Kelly has also served as an Adjunct Faculty at California State University, Los Angeles from 2016 to 2019, where they taught courses related to their expertise. Kelly held similar positions as an Adjunct Faculty at The Ohio State University from 2013 to 2019 and at Marshall University from 2016 to 2018.

Earlier in their career, Kelly worked as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from 2011 to 2016. Kelly also worked as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) at Williamson County Schools, TN from 2008 to 2011.

Kelly started their teaching career as a Lecturer at Vanderbilt University from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Teacher with Project PAVE (Providing Access to the Visual Environment) at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, Vanderbilt University Medical Center from 2005 to 2006.

Kelly Lusk, PhD obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in French and Secondary Education from Vanderbilt University in 2002. Kelly then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Vision Impairments Including Blindness from Vanderbilt University in 2003. In 2007, they completed their Ph.D. in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Northern Kentucky University in 2023.
