Sean Thornton

Sean Thornton is an experienced software engineer with a rich background spanning over a decade in the technology industry. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Clozd since December 2024, Sean previously held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Nerd United, leading a team in developing automated trading solutions and cloud infrastructure on the Ethereum blockchain. Sean's key projects at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints include transitioning to a microservices architecture and delivering critical projects under tight deadlines. Additional roles include experience as a Software Engineer at Owlet Baby Care and earlier software development positions that contributed to significant revenue generation and project delivery. Sean holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Brigham Young University.
