Zulfkar Wali has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Zulfkar began their career as a System Analyst at the UK Ministry of Defence in 1992, where they worked until 1998. During this time, they were involved in the Army Operational Architecture.

In this position, they led risk assessments and modelling on key initiatives, overseeing model and data governance frameworks, testing frameworks, and data validation. Zulfkar also managed direct reports, leading team development and ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Throughout their career, Zulfkar has achieved notable accomplishments, such as being appointed New York risk director based on their performance in liquidity risk analysis and supporting the bank's regulatory requirements and strategic initiatives. Additionally, they have developed key systems and algorithms, created significant business components in C# and SQL, and consistently met support issues within agreed SLAs.

Zulfkar Wali obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics from UCL, having studied from 1986 to 1989.
