Brian Bettencourt

Vice President of Decision Sciences at Clutch

Brian Bettencourt has been working in the technology industry for over 20 years. Brian began their career in 2000 as an Application Developer at Dendrite, where they were responsible for maintenance on core SFA realignment processing engine and developing enhancements for SFA applications running on embedded Windows devices. In 2005, they joined Sanofi Pasteur as a Senior Software Architect, leading mobile developer responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of iOS applications for sales force applications including CRM and vaccine inventory applications. Brian also worked as a Cold Fusion, jQuery and Adobe Flex developer, developing a prescriptive call routing application used by over 300 sales force representatives. In 2013, they joined Clutch Holdings as Vice President of Architecture and Analytics, later becoming Senior Director of Architecture. Finally, in 2017, they joined Clutch as Vice President of Decision Sciences, managing the Data Science team responsible for the AI powered functionality of the segmentation engine that allows them to predict customer lifetime, sales channel preferences, churn avoidance and optimal customer journeys for more than 50 brands and over 100 million customers. Brian also constructed a Data Lake using Java 8, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Kinesis, and Amazon S3, and installed and configured Looker BI environment driving all Ad hoc reporting for 1500 brands.

Brian Bettencourt attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Science.
